Life gets so busy that I rarely take the time to think about the little things that, supposedly, make our jobs and lives a little more organized and convenient; however, as I was sitting at my son’s baseball practice, returning email while researching a homework topic for my daughter online, I started to wonder where in the world things got so hectic!  The best phrase I came up with was “conveniently ridiculous”, as that was exactly how I felt at that moment.  Multitasking is necessity in today’s busy world, but where do we draw the line?  In my quest to figure it all out, I decided to research the history of smartphones.  Where did they come from?  When did we become so dependent upon information at our fingertips at ALL TIMES?
